A storytelling with no words, composer Kevin Green guides the GWDC through a visually interactive soundscape. From the bustling metropolis of our modern world to the calm hush of a natural setting, (de)Compose explores how we interact with and reject modernity, how we, at our basest, want only to get back to nature. The journey back, however, demands we must first acknowledge our connection with nature: that, by embracing death and decay, we may decompose our values and worth in order to compose something new, better, more vital. An exercise in marrying the modern and natural worlds, (de)Compose exposes a glimmer of hope: the realization change is necessary, the realization we can live in harmony with the earth.
