Started in 2013, Good Women Dance Collective’s New Work Award celebrates choreographers, dancers, and dance teachers in our community. Each year, Good Women Dance Collective chooses a local dance artist based on their artistic merit and commitment to a career in dance in Alberta. The New Work Award (NWA) offers funding, mentorship and performance opportunities to the selected artist.
Good Women Dance Collective (GWDC) is pleased to announce the 2025/26 New Work Award recipient, Mpoe Mogale. They bring vast experience from different practices and approaches to art making. Mpoe focuses their practice in care and justice, building meaningful relationships, starting initiatives from the ground up, and connecting communities.
