About Face2Face
“FACE2FACE” aims to use choreographic languages to show the intrinsic interconnectedness between humans. The viewers will follow two dancers and their previously recorded selves as they explore themselves in each other and the shadows of who they were on the screens. The artists intend to bring seamless integration and momentary synchronization between video, live dancers, and music and – at the same time – create an illusion for the audience that oscillates around past and present.
As Marynia Fekecz-Mangan says: “… I have been in Canada a few years now; becoming a mother o two kids (one is two years old, and another is a newborn) and a Canadian citizen (2023) has been an inspiring experience. While motherhood is not the focus of this project, it is now inherently a part of everything I do. It is challenging and complex in some ways. As a well-motivated artist and a member of the maternal dance community, I feel supported and welcomed to continue to create work that embraces and supports me as a mother.”

About Rodeo
“Rodeo” is a spectacle that simmers in simplicity. Tension builds and bursts as bodies are corralled through confined spaces. Time warps, legs fly up and skin meets the floor. Rodeo asks you to watch, closely, and closer still.
