This contemporary African/Ghanaian dance workshops explore the embodiment of selected aesthetic elements of indigenous dance forms on an ‘unfamiliar and unresponsive’ body and finds ways to bond the body and these elements. This workshop is open to beginner, intermediate, and advanced level dance practitioners, lovers of dance, and anyone who wants to learn and have fun at the same time.

Awuah is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and scholar of Ghanaian dance forms with expansive practice in the Contemporary Ghanaian/African dance genre. Kofi Anthonio is a renowned Ghanaian dancer, scholar, and teacher with extensive years of teaching and performances. Prosper Ablordey is an accomplished Ghanaian drummer and elder. Together this trio will facilitate this workshop.
