NEXTFEST Series: Class with Max Hanic

June 6, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

From May 28th – June 7th, Good Women’s classes will be taught by Nextfest artists. Join Max Hanic for a Contemporary dance class. “I am interested in functional movement through principles of joint activation and mobility, the transfer of weight, falling, and using “centre” in the body to move through space. I also explore listening focused improvisation informed by my experience as an actor and mover; scores and tasks that attempt to impose an altered state of being on the dancer through attention to detail in stimulus and deep listening to the space, moving partners, music, one’s own body etc. ”
