About eryn tempest:
.
eryn tempest is a Canadian choreographer and movement artist with roots in Edmonton and Montréal. Her work explores the body as a conduit, a revealing zone through which the invisible is made visible, where distance and infinity play out in the proximal and the finite. Her research engages questions of embodiment at the intersection of poesy, scientific inquiry, and deep healing work, encountering the body as a transforming thing, whose transformation leads to notions of both healing and exorcism.
.
As a performer, she has danced for Mile Zero Dance and K.O. Dance Project in Edmonton and for Benoît Lachambre, Project Contrabête, Camille Lacelle-Wilsey, Nien Tzu Weng, and Mathilde Loslier-Pellerin in Montreal.
Her work has been presented by Nextfest, Expanse, Vous Êtes Ici/You Are Here, and Tangente Danse. She has received support from the Edmonton Arts Council, Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec, as well as the Canada Council for the Arts.
