About Richard Lee
.
Richard Lee is a performer, creator, and educator based in Amiskwaciwaskâhikan (Edmonton). In addition to a B.F.A. in Acting from the University of Alberta, he has independently trained in contemporary dance across North America and Europe. He has performed in works for a wide array of dance and theatre companies including The Good Women Dance Collective, Mélanie Demers, Mile Zero Dance, Cloudsway Dance Theatre, kloetzl & co., Citadel Theatre, Northern Light Theatre, Teatro La Quindicina, and Alberta Theatre Projects, among others.
This autumn his choreography was featured in A Night in with Lucy Darling (Abstract Rabbit/Citadel Theatre/Forum Virtual Theatre), All That Binds Us (Azimuth Theatre), and Delay (Citadel Theatre-Horizon Lab). He also recently performed the hurricane solo in The Disaster Show (Mile Zero Dance). As an educator, he has taught movement for MacEwan University Theatre Arts, the University of Alberta’s B.F.A. Acting program, the Citadel-Robbins Young Company, and Theatre Alberta’s Artstrek program.
