Class Description:
These classes are influenced by my studies in contemporary dance, contact improvisation, theatre, and the Axis Syllabus. We will play with: elastic recoil; the comfiest pathways in and out of the floor we can find; as well as spiral, wave, and pendulum pathways in patient pursuit of transforming our bodies into expressive roller-coasters with optimal safety settings. Through improvised scores and phrase work, we will also examine intersections between physical and psychological action-potentials.
