We’ve got 4 paid internships available for GWDC’s project with Damn Magpies Ensemble in Spring 2018.
It’s for the Damn Good Collaboration in April-May 2018 when GWDC will team up with New Music Edmonton and the highly experimental and inventive music ensemble, Damn Magpies. The dancers and musicians explore the vast world of improvisational performance in unusual spaces under the guidance of GWDC’s Alison Kause and DM’s Ian Crutchley.
The internships available:
Assistant Stage Manager
The intern will be required help our stage manager with technical aspects of production, scheduling and calling the shows.
Front of House & Volunteer Coordinator
The intern will be responsible for setting up the lobby, box office, running bar and organizing volunteers under the guidance of our general manager and stage manager. Other responsibilities include setting up and tear down of all lobby activities including pre and post show chats as well as any opening night receptions.
Production Assistants (2 positions)
The interns will learn valuable skills directly applicable to work as a technician in the theatre and ensure the successful focus, installation and construction of the production set and lighting design.
