A Place to call Home

GWDC artist, Alison Kause, embraces the new year and a new rehearsal space.

No more ‘studio surfing’ for these gals!

With the start of the new year we’ve set-up our first official home!

Our new residence is the former Dance Alberta space (11205-107 Ave in Edmonton) which provides us with, what we think is, one of the best studios in the city, and a building who’s owners vision includes the importance of maintaining dance spaces.

An official place to call home had been on our wish list for quite a while, so when this opportunity popped up, we jumped on it.

The heart and soul of this space is alive and well. Classes are running, a variety of dancers are coming and going and the buzz of creativity can be felt throughout the building. Not to mention the buzz of building improvements – a welcomed sound.

Inaugural rehearsals in our new home were creations for Love Fail (to be presented in collaboration with Pro Coro and New Music Edmonton in April). We will be continuing this creation along with GW Company Classes, a sprinkling of Master Classes and a variety of other rehearsals in the upcoming months in our new home.

GW wishes you much creativity and happiness in 2016. Please stay in touch for exciting news on what the Good Women and Edmonton’s fantastic dance community are up to.
