Good Women is back at the Fringe to showcase their most recent and riveting movement creations in ‘This is still not a play”. Riffing on the success of their 2010 fringe production “This is not a play” the women are back for more! They are STILL good… and it’s STILL all dance! Inhabiting the TACO Space presented by Punctuate! Theatre, three movement works come to realization, including the highly anticipated remount of Counterpart choreographed by Alida Nyquist- Schultz. The show also includes two brand new works, one from local favorite Ainsley Hillyard and the other by guest artist Kate Stashko (Montreal). No thru line, no director, no actors, just dance!
The artists of Good Women play a unique and vital role in Edmonton’s dance community. They are the youngest, and the only collective based professional contemporary group in Edmonton. Good Women is providing opportunity and training for other emerging and professional artists based in Edmonton and strives to create a sustainable artistic life for itself and other artists in the city.
