Helen Husak is leading our first workshop of the season, If the Spine Could Talk. It will focus on the spine as an inspirational source to create movement vocabulary. Participants will dive into the systems of the body as a way to support the spine and expand individual physical expression.

Helen Husak is a B.A. graduate from the University of Calgary (2003), and independent dancer and choreographer with a primary focus on solo performance works. Husak has participated in residencies at Dancers’ Studio West, Banff Centre, Le Groupe Dance Lab, La B.A.R.N, Centre Q, Ottawa Dance Directive and Mile Zero. She has performed her work in local and national festivals across Canada and is recipient of the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Emerging Artist Award (2010).

The session is part of the Brian Webb Dance Company’s Master Class Series.
